Welcome to the Cui lab!
Our lab is interested in understanding the neural circuits and intraneuronal signaling mechanisms affecting feeding, metabolic homeostasis, sleep, and cardiovascular physiology. To this end, we use multiple cutting edge neuroscience techniques, including optogenetics, chemogenetics, fiber photometry, and viral-mediated cell-type-specific circuit mapping combined with a variety of behavioral and physiological measurements in genetically engineered mouse models.
